Obituary for Charles Edward Tellis
Charles Edward Tellis, 75 of Jacksonville, FL passed away peacefully on December 4, 2019 at the Community Hospice McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville, FL. He was born December 31, 1943 in Irvington, Va to the late John Linwood Tellis and Annie Smith Tellis. Charles retired from Phillip Morris in Richmond, Va after 31 years of service. He has been a resident of Jacksonville , FL for the last 19 years and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his children, Terry (Jeff) Tellis Harman of Florida, Kimberly Tellis Richardson of Richmond, Va. and Elizabeth (Jason) Tellis Smith of Germany ; six grandchildren, Pryce, Gunar, Jacob Harman and Jackson, Grayson, Avery Smith and sister Phyllis Tellis Herriges of Richmond, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Shirley Jean Barnes, Betty Sangster; his brother John Linwood Tellis; his daughter, Lisa Marie Tellis and his son, Keith Edward Tellis. A visitation will be held December 17, 2019 at the Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, Va from 12 - 1:30 prior to his graveside service 2 p.m. at the Irvington Baptist Church Cemetery in Irvington, Va.
