Marie Piccard, beloved wife of the late J. Allan Piccard, passed away the twenty eighth of September, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. She was 88 years old.
Marie was born and raised in Mineola, NY; moved to Stony Brook, NY where she and Allan raised their 5 children, then settled in Kilmarnock in 1985.
Marie was an avid tennis player, enjoyed bowling, bridge, cooking, reading, sewing and bingo. Marie was a devoted wife and mother, loved entertaining, and always opened her home to others. Marie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Much loved mother of Susan Piccard Alexander, Kathryn Strong, Judith Piccard, Barbara Piccard-Naughton and Robert Piccard. Cherished grandmother of James, Terrence, Johanna, Curtis, Barbara, Christine, Michael, Julia, John, Sarah and Jane. Great grandmother of Rachel, Alex, Lily, Maeve, Declan and Aislinn.
