Obituary

Vernon Forrest Brann, 86, of Reedville, Va., departed this life December 11, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Lawson Brann; mother, Lillian "Lillie" Elizabeth Brann; brother, Vincent Lawson Brann and sister, Elva Juanita Lohmeyer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth McNeal Brann; son, Forrest McNeal Brann (Robyn); daughter, Elizabeth "Libbie" Brann Mitchell (Kirk) ; four grandchildren, Nathanael, Ellie, Justin and Lauren; three great grandchildren, Aiden, Jordan and Saylor; sister, Shirley Brann Beatley; special as a brother a cousin, Eugene Forrest and five nieces and nephews, Veda, Douglas, Andrea, Valerie and Felicia.

Vernon was a member of Tibitha Church of God and a member of Reedville AFAM Lodge, the Scottish Rites and ACCA Shriners . He was manager of two Menhaden Plants and a retired fish boat pilot for Omega Protein.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Tibitha Church of God, Reedville, Va. Interment will follow the service at Roseland Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p. m. Monday, December 16,2019 at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tibitha Church of God, P. O. Box 167, Reedville, VA 22539.

you took time with me, in louisiana, when there were times of trouble.
my favorite, memory, was your temper, in making Capt. Lee.
all people, are not teachers, and all eople are not cut out to be, something they are not.
yet, you tried to make a way.
