Mildred Ann Lynch Simpson of Reedville, Va. was born on November 11, 1934 in Draper, North Carolina. She went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Mildred was a homemaker and a retired interior designer for Montgomery Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wesley L. Simpson, Sr., ; a son, Bobby Gene Simpson; a daughter, Kathy L. Colbert and her great granddaughter, Abigail Cullen. She is survived by her son, Wesley L. Simpson (Teresa) of Reedville, Virginia; daughter, Debbie S. Harris (Doug) of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandsons, Michael Cullen, Ronnie Dillion, Marty Dillion and Erik Milau and seven great grandchildren. Along with her Savior and immediate family members, Mildred was greeted in heaven by her two sisters, Rachel Stultz and Betty Lawson, who preceded her passing this summer. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to do handwork including upholstery, sewing, quilting and crocheting, and she loved to cook big family meals and visit with family. Her service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Tibitha Church of God, Reedville. Interment will follow the service at Roseland Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Remembrances may be made to Hospice of Virginia, 1328 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock, VA 22560 or to the Gideons.

I will always remember you as one of the sweetest people I have ever know. I loved coming to stay at your house because it was such a home full of love. you and uncle Wesley will always hold a special place in my heart. My prayers are with Debbie and Junior.
